Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles won its new title for environmental improvements made to its LCV vehicles, which include cargo-haulers like the Transporter and Caddy BlueMotion (pictured). In particular, the Caddy’s stop/start technology and battery regeneration systems make it a stand out in its class. Colin Boyton, marketing manager for GreenFleet Awards, sums up why VW captured the crown, stating:

Second Manufacturer Of The Year Award For Volkswagen Vans
Within days of winning the Fleet Van Manufacturer of the Year Award, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has also been named as the LCV Manufacturer of the Year at the GreenFleet Awards 2010.
