Once again, the Fisker Karma has a new release date. Maybe you’ve been waiting for this luxury plug-in hybrid since it was first promised for Novemeber 2009. Or maybe you were not among the first to get excited about the car but thought the next date – September 2010 – sounded more reasonable. Well, that didn’t happen, and Fisker also misssed making any late 2011 deliveries. Finally, though, we have a production start date: March 2011. This is only slightly later than the once-mentioned February 2011 start of production.

Fisker spokesman Russell Datz told PluginCars.com that “regular production will start in March with deliveries expected to begin soon after.” Since the Karmas are being built in Finland, it’s likely that the first deliveries would happen sometime in April. Maybe.

Fisker recently changed the price of it flagship car. The price jumped up to $95,900, up from $87,900. Nonetheless, Fisker still hopes to sell 15,000 of them in 2011. The earlier they get started, the more likely that is to happen.
