Can’t get enough? Here is a 37-page digital magazine about the Chevy Volt
There is no vehicle in recent times that has received as much attention – good and bad – as the Chevrolet Volt. We’ve lost track of how many posts we’ve written about the car, to say nothing about those we’ve read and skimmed. Basically, if you feel there’s still something you don’t know about this plug-in hybrid, then it’s probably because, well, we can’t think of a good reason.
Okay, maybe we can. And that’s because no one has published an entire magazine devoted just to the Volt, an oversight that has now be remedied by SAE International with the latest issue of Vehicle Electrification, the “2011 Chevrolet Volt Development Story.” The 37-page work includes articles on the Volt’s time in the General Motors wind tunnel and the “maniacal” engineering team in a fancy digital magazine format. You can read the magazine here.
Want even more? The magazine includes a list of Technical Papers about the Volt that are on the schedule for release in 2011. Titles include “Developing a portable charge cord for the Chevy Volt” and “High voltage battery tray design optimization,” among others. Hat tip to Felix Kramer!
