Fully Charged drives the Vauxhall Ampera – Click above to watch video after the jump

The latest episode of Robert Llewellyn’s plug-in-centric show Fully Charged has hit the Internet and this time ’round Llewellyn takes the Vauxhall Ampera for a spin.

The UK version of the Chevrolet Volt, the Vauxhall Ampera, is priced at £33,995 ($55,419 U.S. at the current exchange rate). The right-hand drive Ampera will be available in the UK in spring of 2012, as will the £28,545-Volt ($46,534 in U.S. dollars at the current exchange rate). Styling cues and some different interior bits are all that distinguish the Ampera from the Volt.

So, what’s the Ampera like to drive? With ten-plus minutes of pure plug-in hybrid vehicle joy awaiting you after the jump, we’ll stop beating around the bush and let Llewellyn take you on an extended-range ride.
