Honda teases Insight Exclusive and Freed Spike hybrids
A formal announcement from Honda regarding the trio of hybrid is expected to come soon. In the meantime, here’s a bit info we’ve gleaned from Green Carview’s report: The mini-minivan Honda Freed will soon get the hybrid treatment and two gas-electric versions will emerge: the five-passenger Freed Hybrid and the seven-passenger Freed Spike Hybrid. Both versions will feature Honda’s 1.5-liter iVTEC four-cylinder engine and the automaker’s Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) mild hybrid setup.
Moving on to the Insight Exclusive, word is this will also feature Honda’s 1.5-liter engine and IMA system and come equipped with “specialized” exterior and interior bits deserving of that Exclusive title. The Insight Exclusive will reportedly launch in Japan sometime this fall.
