Toyota is hoping a trip across the English Channel brings its hybrid racecar a little more luck.
The Japanese automaker’s TS030 Hybrid race car will make its UK racing debut this weekend when it runs in the WEC Six Hours of Silverstone race Sunday, Hybrid Cars reports. The car, which has a 3.4-liter V8 paired with separate electric motors powering both the front and rear wheels, will run the 3.66-mile circuit.
The hybrid racecar garnered attention in June when it made its 24 Hours of LeMans debut. The TS030 Hybrid led that race before technical problems and an accident ended the car’s race.
