Lexus will unveil hybrid sports coupe Down Under

Add another model to the list of hybrids with north of 400 horsepower.

The Australian International Motor Show (AIMS) has announced that Lexus will unveil a hybrid supercoupe at the show in October, as Toyota’s luxury badge joins the list of automakers looking to make more high-powered hybrid vehicles.

AIMS didn’t reveal much about the model, though it notes that the coupe will display “a striking balance of new and traditional designs.” Green Car Reports adds that the model will be all-wheel-drive and will have about 500 horsepower.

Lexus showed off its LF-LC 2+2 coupe concept at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
