Pininfarina has an eco-friendly sedan concept in store for Geneva

You may not have heard of Hybrid Kinetic Group, but we’re guessing Pininfarina rings a bell. The famous Italian design house is collaborating with this Hong Kong-based technology company to bring a sleek sedan concept to this year’s Geneva show. And from the teaser it looks promising.

The concept is called the H600, leading us to speculate that it’s either a hybrid or hydrogen-fueled and makes 600 horsepower, 600 Newton meters of torque, or maybe 600 kW of power. Neither company is saying much about the concept before its debut next month in Switzerland. We just know it will use “new energy propulsion,” and given Hybrid Kinetic Group’s business making electric motors and batteries, as well as working on clean graphene, we’re pretty confident this is an electric concept of some sort.

The company currently markets the electric HK eBus, but it does not sell any vehicles directly to consumers. This concept could be a signal that it plans to enter the emerging market of luxury EV sedans spurred by Tesla. Or maybe it’s just something pretty to get Hybrid Kinetic Group’s name out there.

Pininfarina will also showcase another vehicle for another client in Geneva: a supercar bearing the name of racing driver Emerson Fittipaldi. The Fittipaldi EF7 Vision Gran Turismo will debut in reality at the show and then make its way to PlayStation with the rest of the Vision GT fantasy cars. We’ll have the details on both cars once they’re unveiled in Geneva.
