Christian von Koenigsegg shows off the Regera’s details
Just 80 examples of the new Regera plug-in hybrid hypercar are planned over the next five years, and Christian expects to leave Geneva with at least half of those presold with deposits. The popularity is easy to understand. Output of over 1,500 horsepower is absolutely amazing, and this is the first road car to use Formula One-grade battery cells, which Christian says slices off a lot of weight.
There’s a unique story about the existence of the Agera One of 1. Apparently, a customer in the Middle East wanted an Agera One:1, but the company refused to make any more. It came up with this instead. The hypercar features a special body, including a new rear wing, Koenigsegg emblem-shaped mesh, and polished aluminum trim inside. The company now has commissions from two more buyers for similar cars with one-off exterior and interior parts.
Koenigsegg also speaks a little about finishing up Agera production while checking out a beautiful RS in yellow with red highlights. The discussions about the three vehicles are full of fascinating insights into the company’s process. We can’t wait to see what awe-inspiring machine Christian comes up with next.
