With more horsepower and less weight than the Bugatti Chiron, the Koenigsegg Regera is one of the most absurd vehicles on sale today. The plug-in-hybrid hypercar may not have a gearbox in the traditional sense of the word, but is still capable of roasting its tires.
The six-second video may be short, but it also shows exactly what the Regera is capable of. With a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 working in tandem with three electric motors, destroying a set of tires has never looked easier.
Only 80 Regeras will ever be built, which shouldn’t be a surprise as the hypercar combines space-age technology and sophisticated engineering in a package that’s unlike anything else on the road. With the Regera’s monstrous figures, we hope Koenigsegg continues to raise the bar with its insane hypercars.
